These terms are an agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] ("Storytime Buddies," "we"). By creating an account you accept them.
1. Who may hold an account
You must be at least 18 and a parent or legal guardian of any child you create a profile for. You are responsible for activity on your account and for supervising your children's use of the service in line with their age and maturity. Children may only use the service through a profile you create and under the level of supervision you judge appropriate; the Independence setting is a convenience, not a transfer of responsibility.
2. The service
Storytime Buddies generates original children's stories using artificial intelligence, based on choices made in the app, and provides related features such as read-aloud narration, reading progression, and (on paid plans) saved story shelves and PDF downloads. We may add, change, or retire features over time; if a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will notify you in advance.
3. Plans and limits
The free plan includes [1] new story per child per day and a limited character roster. The premium plan includes unlimited stories subject to a fair-use limit of [15] generated stories per child per day, the full character roster, saved shelves, and PDF downloads. Limits exist to keep the service affordable and reliable for everyone and are enforced automatically.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record, under the Subscription and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Story content and ownership
Stories are generated by AI specifically for your child. We grant you a personal, non-commercial licence to read, save, download, print, and enjoy the stories created on your account, including sharing printed or PDF copies within your family and your child's school. You may not sell stories generated by the service or use them commercially. The Storytime Buddies name, logo, mascot, and character roster (including Penny, Leo, Daisy, Benny, Milo, Ellie, Freddy, and Koda and their artwork) are our intellectual property and may not be reused outside the service without written permission. To the extent we hold rights in generated story text, we assign to you what is needed for the personal use described above.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to attempt to bypass safety filters, daily limits, or access controls; not to use the service to generate content for any purpose other than children's stories; not to scrape, reverse engineer, or resell the service; and not to share account credentials outside your household. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with a refund of any unused prepaid period except in cases of serious or deliberate abuse.
7. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Story generation depends on third-party AI providers and may occasionally be slower or temporarily unavailable.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is." Stories are generated by AI within strict safety constraints designed for children, but no automated system is perfect; if a story ever seems wrong for your child, stop reading it, delete it, and please report it to [SUPPORT EMAIL] so we can investigate. Storytime Buddies is an entertainment and reading-encouragement product, not a substitute for professional educational assessment or instruction.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
10. Governing law
